Two Faced

Do you ever say no to charity shops, jumble sales, boot sales etc? After this post I'm almost certain you'll think differently...

After it being one of the most important times of the year, with all the ever famous fashion weeks spreading the latest trends over our little digital, precious screens - you can't ignore the poncho trend. I absolutely LOVE the poncho trend it reminds me of bonfires on the beach and Guy Fawkes night - which I cannot wait for! I lurrrv fireworks probably because it's massively near to Christmas 'does happy dance' and I bloody love Christmas!! So I'm pretty pleased this is the chosen trend for this season.

For a trend that has hit Autumn like a slap in the face, I think I snatched up this one in the best season colours! To put this poncho to great use, it is wearable on either side in many different ways. Throw it over the shoulder, drape the sides on your shoulders for the 'sleeveless look' and so much more. Just have fun with it.

Okay most people would definitely not confess the amount that I actually paid for this but I'm way too smug to keep this inside! I lost my jumble sale virginity last Winter ... (I think we all know where I'm going with this) and I came across this beauty not having the slightest intention of buying anything as nothing appealed to me in heaps and heaps of clutter, it was just a day out with the Mother. So I picked it up and fell in love instantly. Once you see something you really like at a jumble sale, it then starts getting fairly addictive. You forget the fact that it's second hand because if you think about it 1. It can be washed 1 million times take it to the dry cleaners then wear it if that's what it takes! 2. Think about the other things that has come from someone else that you use on a daily basis - the houses we live in, the cars we drive (unless you're a rich bastard reading this) plus a lot more than you think. Plus isn't life way to short to not make the most out of clothes? Think about how much waste goes on in the world, to think some people throw hundreds of pounds worth of clothes away if a buttons fallen off! Ridic.

I'd like to confess with pride that I bought this two faced poncho for just 20p. If you happen to be in to this particular design then the last image you see above I have attached Burberrys latest design which is almost identical to mine. That is exactly why I am so very smug with my two faced poncho that I bought from a jumble sale for just 20p.

So you can either have Burberry's ever so similar design for £1,195 or jump in your car and drive to the nearest jumble sale and start digging like a trooper for one for 20 pence. You'll probably find everything but a poncho to be completely honest as I was just lucky but hey! Who knows what you're going to find!! It's worth the experience.

Got a jumble sale find you want to share? Let me know!

Western Vibes

On one extremely windy evening when visiting my Parents new home by the sea, I decided to take the chance to talk about my new leather shirt with the sea view behind me. I wish I'd got better pictures but it was really windy and a storm was coming so the weather was a bit cold and wet and just allll over the place! So this was indeed a quick one!

This beautiful tan leather shirt was a hand me down from an old friend of mine, and from the purity of the leather, take my word for it - it smells amazing!

You can style it the same way as you would with a denim shirt as it has that thick, reliable material, you can treat it like a jacket. With the tan toned leather I would only dress this with black or white jeans to compliment the leather shirt. This look also looks good buttoned up half way from the bottom to show full chest above the cleavage (not chest as in boobies!) with a dainty chain or two to rest on the neck.

Teaming it with my new pointed ankle boots reminded me so much of western style! I love that whole leather and boots combo, that's a style for me that will never get old! A good pair of leather boots never goes a miss, but they have to be 100% leather 1. as they will last you years and years 2. you can notice the difference so much between real and fake leather - it's so worth the expense! 3. The leather ages so it looks better and better, the longer you have them.

This look is good for girls who like the rough and tough kind of look -  I can't see the girly girls going crazy over this! But it does look good on everyone!

As this shirt hasn't been snatched off All Saints shelf recently you can get a similar one from here at Muubaa. Who undoubtedly do some of the best leather pieces I have ever seen so take a look at the rest of their website because it's incredible!
