Summer Evenings

We all love date nights with the better halves, especially in the Summer time!

As it has been so unbearably hot these past couple of weeks  I chose this really light playsuit for the perfect delicate, playful look. The lace detail makes the whole piece, it'd probably be a tad boring without it to be honest... plus it's white too so helps that gorge Summer glow, so what's not to love?!

As the playsuit is white I thought a little hint of fuchsia would go a long way, the only way I could do this was with lipstick and nail varnish as it's teeny tiny detail - anything like a clutch or shoes may have been a bit too much. Remember, less is more ;)

You cannot go wrong with pointed courts. I absolutely love them! They can make any outfit look incredibly classy - hence why the look with ripped jeans and pointed shoes has been floating round a lot lately! If they can dress up a pair of ripped jeans, they can dress up anything!! Speaking of which I have a certain pair of special pointed courts for my future posts soon, so keep your eyes peeled because it is definitely worth the wait...

As I like to keep accessories rather simple most of the time, I paired my silver hammered bangles with this outfit to add a hint of class! 212 VIP is one of my favourite perfumes for evenings, especially date nights!

Stripes & Sandals

Ohhhhhhh my gadd! I have a massively cheesy smile on my face because... I got a new camera!! I hope it's noticeable?! I can see a huge difference so I'm one happy girl at the moment. I've been needing a decent camera for so so long now, so my amazing parents surprised me with an early Birthday present on Sunday. Most amazing people on this planet.

This is the kind of weather that makes EVERYTHING stick to your bum cheeks. Don't get me wrong I absolutely adore Summer but jheeze louise you can't wear anything without sweating one out! This is why we have over sized, floaty dresses ... like so.

So these are my Gladiator beauties that I mentioned in my previous post. Completely obsessed with them. I would say that you can only really wear them with shorts or short dresses as they take up half your leg so you sort of need the other half of your leg to make up for it! Other wise you have stumps for legs. As these sandals are very out of the ordinary and aren't your usual ankle strappy summer sandals, I didn't want to take any attention away from them so I kept my accessories and make up simple. Plus who wants to wear thick heavy make up in this heat? Naaat me!

These gladiators are definitely my new favourite summer piece :)

I love each and every one of these vital items although I think the one I am most fond of has to be the gladiator sandals. They're amazing! I literally have just bought myself a pair for my holiday and I can't get enough of them. I do feel a bit like a spartan in them, but am I embracing the Gerard Butler look? Hell yeah I am! They are the new number one statement to my wardrobe.

Kimonos have taken a while to grow on me as I felt it was one of those things everyone was wearing. I hate the thought of looking the same as others, it really annoys me, fashion is so wide and allows you to experiment with so many trends - people have no excuse to look the same! But, now I understand the kimono hype - especially the maxi ones, I like those a whole lot better.

I've never owned a pair of espadrilles however these beautiful Chanel babies keep popping up all over the place, so I'm starting to think I'm really missing out - not that they're in my price range... in any way shape or form.

Thanks to one of my favourite bloggers ever - Sydney Fashion Blogger I noticed this beaut of a swimwear piece on her Facebook page today and took a little peek at the others they also had. Oh my god. They are all absolutely gorgeous, and I don't know about anyone else but every year I end up buying even more bikinis than any other current Summer must have. I get bored very easily with the same bikinis (well pretty much every item of clothing) and knowing that they only get to make an appearance a small part of the year, why not make the most of them? But these bikinis are well worth a sneaky peak. Especially the Hayley bikini, incredible.

Body chains. One of the most important pieces of jewellery that every woman should own! The reason I say that is because not only does it look fab under or over a bikini it looks stunning under evening wear as well, a bit like a long, disappearing necklace but I think these look way more sexy and effective.

The nail varnish is pretty self explanatory - I mean it's orange, do I need to say how amazing orange is? Again?

Mirrored aviators are my new favourite thing. They do so many cool colours but I am a little bit obsessed with silver so guess what I went for...

A Leather Piece

As I'm getting into the habit of blogging on a regular basis now, I thought I'd do yet another outfit post! I have a lot of ideas for my blog so I'm taking it at one step at a time.

I got this gorgeous top from an art/designer boutique in The Lanes in Brighton whilst out for the day wine tasting. The best part about this top is obviously the unique detail down the sides, wearing a bra with this top would completely ruin it and the feature's purpose (as you will probably see in some of the pictures haha!). Everything in this shop was SO expensive but I had a nice little rummage and managed to find this little number for a nicer looking price. One of those shops when there isn't an awful lot that you don't like, those kind of shops are extremely dangerous - but definitely makes you happy when you find one! They had another floor full of art but unfortunately it wasn't open at the time, which sucks as we are trying to hunt down some damn good art at the moment, although we did visit Art Republic at the time and they sell some incredible pieces there, one to remember 'fo sho'.

I'd like to say this is more of an evening look and only recently I've felt as though getting the leggies out is the only way for a night out; well not the only way, we all love a good classy pencil skirt/dress. I think it's because I don't tend to get them out fully during the day - especially with sky high heels anyway, which are an absolute godsend to make us girls feel so confident and good about ourselves. Some girls say that it's either boobs or legs but most of the time it's legs for me! I like to look sufficiently different when going out for the night, so a little more make up, high heels, jewellery - just making that little bit more effort goes a long way.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have finally realised that if I'm going out for hours on end I NEED a platform under my foot! Don't get me wrong I really love those strappy heels that I wore in my Easy Evening Wear post, but if I wear them in the evening until the early hours of the morning my feet are an utter wreck. They have no support directly under your foot so we're sort of asking for trouble aren't we? "Shoes for standing in" (as the mother always says!!), no question about it. I don't want to have to resort to wedges all the time because I find they can sometimes make your feet look really clumpy and heavy. I find stilettos look much more classy and sassy, they help with the whole long leg illusion! I tend to walk in higher heels better, if the heel's really small, I find it strangely hard, it's very weird. I needed these heels for a wedding I'm going to next week, it was such a difficult outfit to find shoes for as I kind of needed white shoes but I'm a bit sceptical of white because at times it can look quite tacky, so my last option was nude. Hopefully I can do an outfit post on it if I get ready in time, then I'll go into more detail.

These skirts are pure-chic-gold at the moment. They're amazing for statement pieces and create such a chic tone to your outfit. Everyone knows that if they're wearing an item of clothing that has a ton of detail or has a certain design to stand out, not to overdo with accessories, bright colours, make up, etc. "Before you leave the house, remove one piece" - Coco Chanel - great quote that needs to be in mind always! This is why I've chosen neutral colours to go with this skirt, it has so much detail and a nice feature with its asymmetrical longer part at the front; I wanted to keep it so it was all about the skirt. Making too many statements can only lead to a big fat disaster!

Summer Bargains

To be able to save up and buy the good things in life, kind of isn't the case for me right now as I'm just about to move in to my first flat so shopping just isn't an option! But when you're a girl and your obsessed with fashion, there's always a way around it... eBay and sales! I haven't done too badly to be honest, I have learnt to tame my shopping 'problem' and I am buying things that are needed for the flat at the same time so it's all good! I shouldn't even be looking but I look at my wardrobe and say to myself "what the hell did I even wear last year?!" I don't even like any of it anymore! (convenient at this time I know) my life would be a whole lot easier if I despised clothes and all I wanted was the latest FIFA game and a world cup t-shirt. Yeahhh, not gonna happen.

In this day and age we are possessed by the social media, it's shameful but we all do it! This means lots and lots of inspiration gets flooded in to our systems and for me as I follow a lot of fashion icons, bloggers and designers my taste in fashion is all over the place, pretty much all the time so this results in me looking for the cheapest option - eBay. I should just put it to one side and think you know what I'll get it another time when I can afford it. Nope. Can't do that. It's so annoying because who wants cheap sh*t that's going to fall apart in a couple of weeks? ME because I'm desperate! But if it's for only a short amount of time in my life, why not? :) The good things in life are yet to come people!

I haven't really been one to wear hats but I saw this one and thought, it's different. I like it! So I bought this one on eBay for £2.94 - with Free Shipping! Bar-gain.

This fluorescent swimsuit isn't technically a bargain but let's just say it's cheaper than a triangl bikini! I love the bright abstract colours in this and the Victoria's Secret 'V' detail for a cheeky peek of the cleavage (not that I have one of those) I think it cost me around £16? So still quite good. It's from good ol' Sainsbury's, they don't do too badly sometimes in there ya know. Who's to know your wearing supermarket fashion anyways?! (unless the labels hanging out) embrace TU!

Arghh this is my FAVE bargain, as the other half and I are doing festivals this year I really needed a bum bag/fanny pack what ever their latest name is now. I hate having to worry about my bag swinging around at festivals because of pick pockets, so having this strapped to my navel was a genius idea and meant I didn't have to worry! I saw this one and thought yup, you're mine! It's like a waterproof material so it's very easy to clean. I wore it to Holi One Colours Festival in Brighton at the weekend and the coloured powder went everywhere, it just wiped straight off. Brill. I am a massive fan of leopard print and can only wear it in small doses as I'm blonde and I refuse to look like a hooker. I think it can depend on the type of leopard print too because sometimes people design your typical leopard print that can come across as tacky and other times it can look really unique and lovely. Oh yeah and I got this on eBay for £4.99.

These two bikini bottoms are also one of the best bargains. As I am an all time dedicated lover of All Saints, (they have the biggest sale on ever right now that I refuse to look at!) I accidentally fell in to TK Maxx one day and made a bee-line to the swimwear range, saw these and thought oh my gadd they look like something from All Saints! As TK Maxx is all for it's 'Big Labels Small Prices' moto the bikinis I picked up were indeed All Saints. £3.99 each for these babies what a bargain! Now all I need to do is hunt the tops down on eBay lol! No, what I'm most likely to do is pick a colour from the designs and match them with a plain coloured bikini top so maybe one khaki and one brown? Even though TK Maxx is one big place you can get lost in and it seems like a lot of effort, it is so worth the aching arms and tired feet because the bargains you pull out of that place is amazing!

It is Summer after all - the pressure is on to look good!
